Vietnam Trip Cost from India: Visa, Flights and a 7-Day Budget, Itemised

Vietnam has become the trip Indians search for when they want abroad on a budget, and 2026 made it easier: new direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai, and a cheaper e-visa process. Here is what seven days actually cost, line by line, and the visa rule most sites still get wrong.

Short answer

About ₹46,500 per person for seven days from Delhi on a budget: ₹28,516 for a return flight to Hanoi (a 2026 airline listing), US$25 (about ₹2,375) for the e-visa, and about ₹16,000 on the ground for Hanoi, a Ha Long Bay day cruise and three days on the Ha Giang Loop. Indians still need an e-visa for mainland Vietnam: apply only on evisa.gov.vn.

~₹46,5007 days, per person
US$25e-visa, single entry

₹1 = ₫272rate, Oct 2026

Vietnam is cheap once you land: a bowl of pho at one of Hanoi's Michelin-listed shops starts at ₫25,000, under ₹100. The flight and the visa are most of the bill, so that is where to be careful. The rest of this guide is the line-by-line budget, then the visa, flights and the best route for November to February.

The Ha Giang costs are Trip Under's own place data. Every other price comes from an official source where one exists (the Vietnamese government's fee circular, the Da Nang tourism portal, Vietnam Railways), otherwise from operators and booking sites, which we name. Rates are from 24 October 2026: ₹1 = ₫272 and US$1 = ₹95.

The visa: what Indians actually need

The Ha Giang Loop, in the far north of Vietnam: three days by motorbike or with a local rider.

The single most expensive mistake on a Vietnam trip is paying an agent site three or four times the US$25 fee. The official portal is the only place you need.
