Baba Budangiri & Manikyadhara
A range named for the Sufi saint Baba Budan, who is credited with bringing coffee cultivation to India here in the 17th century. The Dattatreya Peetha shrine at the top is revered by both Hindu and Muslim pilgrims. Manikyadhara Falls, a short walk below, is the easiest add-on.

How to reach it
Taxi or bus from Chikmagalur to Baba Budangiri; the trailhead for Manikyadhara Falls is a short walk from the shrine complex.

None required for the standard trails; an entry fee applies at some points.

Trainers with grip, water — the falls area can be slippery.
