Fujairah is the only emirate that faces the Gulf of Oman, so its beaches sit under the Hajar Mountains instead of under towers. The stretch from Al Aqah up to Dibba is the snorkelling coast: Snoopy Island is about 200 m off Sandy Beach Hotel, close enough to swim at low tide. On the way you pass Al Bidya, the oldest known mosque in the country, and Fujairah Fort. The RTA E700 bus gets you from Dubai to Fujairah city in about two hours; a car makes the coast far easier. Two nights is right.

Mistakes to avoid
- Rip currents occur on UAE beaches. Swim only at lifeguarded beaches, never under a red flag, and don't attempt the Snoopy Island swim at high tide or in waves.
- Mosques: dress modestly and stay out during prayer times. Friday prayer is at 12:45 pm across the UAE.
- The UK FCDO (updated 24 July 2026) warns of possible regional strikes and flight disruption, and says terrorists are likely to try to attack in the UAE. Fujairah is an oil port; stay away from security and military sites.
Ways to spend less
- Sleep in Fujairah city for under AED 150 and drive up to Al Aqah for the day.
- Bring your own snorkel and mask. The day pass is the main cost; rental is the easy saving.
- Go on a weekday: day passes are cheaper and Dibba resort rates drop sharply from Sunday to Thursday.
